We have two types of submissions, both peer reviewed:
Full papers preceded by abstract submission
Extended abstract submission

Topics
We invite contributions that showcase the benefits of interdisciplinary, cross-sectoral, multifunctional, multiscale, multidomain, and multistakeholder approaches.
Full papers follow the conventional scientific publication format, with a maximum length of 10 pages. The SBE25 full papers will be published in a Special Issue of the online open-access journal external page IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. Abstracts will also be published in the Conference’s online Book of Abstracts.
If you wish to submit a full paper to SBE25:
Submit an abstract (max. 300 words, excluding title) via ConfTool by 14 November 2024.
You will be notified about abstract acceptance by 19 December 2024.
If your abstract is accepted, you must submit the full paper by 15 February 2025. Details about the full paper format and submission tool will be shared in due course.
You will be notified about full paper acceptance and presentation format (if poster or oral presentation) by 31 March 2025.
If your full paper is accepted, you must submit the final version by 30 April 2025.
Submission instructions for Extended Abstracts
Extended abstracts are a shorter way to communicate your work, with a maximum length of 03 pages. The SBE25 extended abstracts will be published in the Conference’s online Book of Abstracts, with a corresponding DOI (Digital Object Identifier).
If you wish to submit an extended abstract to SBE25:
Submit the extended abstract by 28 February 2025. Details about the extended abstract format and submission tool will be shared in due course.
You will be notified about extended abstract acceptance and presentation format (if poster or oral presentation) by 31 March 2025.
If your extended abstract is accepted, you must submit the final version of the extended abstract by 30 April 2025.
General Guidelines
The language of the conference is English.
Each registered participant is entitled to present up to two works, which may be full papers and/or extended abstracts. Participants may still be listed as co-authors on additional works, provided those works are presented by other registered participants.
The scientific committee will determine the presentation format for each work based on the contribution and complexity level.

Awards
One awarded paper will have the possibility to submit a full paper to external page Buildings & Cities with the open-access fee covered.
